Prof Triana Lobaton

Prof Triana Lobatón is associate professor at Ghent University and adjunct head of clinic in the Department of Gastroenterology at UZ Gent, Belgium, where she leads the IBD unit. She studied medicine in Valencia and trained in gastroenterology at Bellvitge University Hospital, Barcelona; her PhD, with research periods at UZ Leuven and Mount Sinai, examined faecal calprotectin in IBD. Her research covers real-world outcomes of advanced IBD therapies, postoperative Crohn's disease and extraintestinal manifestations; she has co-authored ECCO guidelines.
