Prof Pieter Hindryckx

Prof Pieter Hindryckx is an interventional endoscopist in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at UZ Gent, Belgium. He studied medicine and trained in gastroenterology in Ghent, obtained a PhD in inflammatory bowel disease, completed fellowship training in the Netherlands and Canada, and trained in interventional endoscopy at UCL in Brussels. His practice focuses on ERCP and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound. His research themes include lumen-apposing metal stents, EUS-guided biliary and gallbladder drainage, and cholangioscopy. He is ESGE faculty.
