Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at Sapienza University, working in Digestive Endoscopy at Sant'Andrea University Hospital of Rome, with special focus on gastric precancerous and cancerous conditions, advanced endoscopic imaging techniques, and therapeutic endoscopy. Involved in the ESGE Quality Improvement committee as chair of the Endoscopy services working group and of the reporting task force. Leader of the STAR (STAndardization of Reports) project, in particular regarding the upper-GI. Winner of the ESGE Next Generation Award 2025.
