Dr Valérie Desmedt

Dr. Valérie Desmedt is a gastroenterologist at AZ Delta in Roeselare, Belgium, with a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as intestinal ultrasound. She graduated in Medicine from Ghent University and completed fellowships in IBD and intestinal ultrasound at University Hospitals Leuven and Amsterdam UMC. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Desmedt is actively involved in scientific research on inflammatory bowel diseases. She is certified by the International Bowel Ultrasound Group (IBUS) and performs intestinal ultrasound on a daily basis.
