Dr Barbara Bastiaansen

Barbara A.J. Bastiaansen is a consultant gastroenterologist at Amsterdam UMC since 2011 focusing on advanced endoscopic interventions and gastrointestinal oncology. Her clinical work and research focuses on new endoscopic treatment modalities for early colorectal cancer, complex polyps and other techniques like per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). She coordinates and chairs the Dutch eFTR registry & study group since 2016 and co-founded the Dutch EID working group. She is a member of the steering committee for the Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group.
