Dr Maria Eva Argenziano

Maria Eva Argenziano is an Italian gastroenterologist currently completing a PhD in Health Sciences at Ghent University under the supervision of Prof. H. Van Vlierberghe and Dr. D. Tate. She completed her specialisation in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the Polytechnic University of Marche with full marks (cum laude), and a 26-month fellowship in tissue resection at Ghent University Hospital under the supervision of Dr. David Tate. Her clinical and research focus is on advanced endoscopic resection, optical diagnosis of colorectal lesions, and endoscopic training. She has authored and co-authored publications in leading journals including Endoscopy, Gut, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and VideoGIE, and has presented her work at major international meetings including ESGE Days, UEG Week, and DDW. Since 2023, she serves as Co-editor of the ESGE Academy, contributing to the development of endoscopic education and training curricula at a European level. She is an active member of ESGE, SIGE, and SIED.
